Like so many others, we disagree with what is happening in our country and other countries around the world. From talking with people around us we know that many more agree with the protests but for various reasons, can't participate. We wanted a way that anyone can show that they are against what these governments are doing around the world. The White Rose Pin was born.
What began as a willing, self imposed 2 week lock-down has become something else entirely. All over the globe, governments have imposed new "rules" that we have not seen in western society since Nazi Germany. I wish I was being hyperbolic but watch the rise of the Nazi party as they slowly imposed new restrictions from 1933, when they took power, to 1941, when they opened death camps. You will be shocked at how far we have come in under two years.
In Canada we have vaccine passports, court dictated "free speech" (our courts now dictate the exact content of our "free speech"), policed check points, policed curfews, forced vaccinations, forced isolation, people dying alone and neglected and so much more. People are arrested even when complying as the police run unchecked throughout our country. Publicly funded health care is refused unless the patients are "vaccinated" regardless of their health condition. Terminally ill patients left to die alone in hospital for fear they might contract COVID. Families divided.
This is not about one political ideology over another. We are neither left nor right, pro-vax nor anti-vax. We are for defending human rights...rights we still have in our constitutions that are being ignored. We welcome all people who wish to stand against what the governments are doing to their citizens.
